PLEXUS is visual exploration of the interwoven nature of love, loss, desire, and memory. Its name refers to an anatomical braid, a network of vessels or nerves, where many parts form a system and a whole. These small 6x4 inch photographs are taped directly to the wall with red painter's tape to create an interconnected visual poem. The poppy, like a heart anchored at the center of the installation, acts as a vital point within the larger network, where pain and beauty, loss and longing, circulate and intertwine.
