For this group show at NOWHERE, a gutted adobe house in Marfa, Texas, I had my images printed as posters and hung straight to the wall. The images themselves come from three starting points; trying to create something I’ve imagined (Fire Flowers), trying to recreate something that’s flashed in my mind while in meditation (Fiddleheads), and real world happenings that I’ve been lucky enough to capture (Eclipse). I’m always very moved when these origins points blend together, and images that have been rattling around my interior world have unexpectedly appeared by chance in front of me (Firework, Burnt).
